The object and purpose of the Beautification Commission shall be to study, investigate, plan, recommend, develop, organize, initiate and encourage the beautification and improvement of the appearance of the town and the approaches thereto by the planting of trees, shrubbery and flowers and by the utilization of such other improvements that will improve the appearance of the town and its approaches. The Beautification Commission shall be responsible for the implementation of the tree protection standards of the Kingstree Zoning Ordinance. In order to accurately comply with the stated objectives and purpose, the Beautification Commission shall utilize the expertise of a certified arborist. Such a professional shall be either on the Commission, employed by the town and tasked with assisting the Commission in their duties, or contracted by the town and tasked with assisting the Commission in their duties.
