(A) A member of the Fire Department, designated by the Chief, may inspect every structure used for commercial or industrial purposes to determine if the structure contains any defects constituting a danger to fire prevention or fire safety. The Chief shall notify promptly the owner and occupant in writing of any structure found to contain such a defect.

(B) The owner of a structure, within such period as specified in the notice shall remedy the defect to the reasonable satisfaction of the Fire Chief.
