§ 111.03 SIGNS AND SIGNBOARDS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to erect or maintain any sign or signboard which is less than ten feet from the pavement or which extends more than five feet across any sidewalk. None shall extend into the street. The construction and placement of any such sign or signboard shall be subject to approval by Council.
   (B)   Total sign area allowed shall not exceed 16 square feet in area except for buildings that have a primary face (front facade) that is greater than 40 feet in length; then a wall sign that covers up to 10% of the entire building face, not to exceed 60 square feet may be allowed (less any signage area used for a suspended sign which shall not exceed 16 square feet).
