Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof before the Municipal Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $25 for a first offense, a fine of not less than $50 for a second offense, a fine of not less than $75 for a third offense and a maximum fine of not more than $150 to be collected as fines and penalties are now collected. Default of payment of such fine and costs, shall constitute cause for imprisonment of not less than five days nor more than 30 days, at the discretion of the Municipal Judge.
