There is hereby established the office of Clerk of Court. The Clerk of Court shall be elected from time to time by Council and shall serve at its pleasure or until the office is vacated when employment with the town is terminated. The Clerk of Court shall perform the powers provided by law and shall be subject to the supervision of the Municipal Judge. The Clerk of Court shall not be a law enforcement officers.
