(A) This subchapter is enacted for revenue purposes only.
(B) Therefore, it should be construed to require payment of the maximum fee permitted under its terms.
(C) In addition, issuance of a privilege license in accordance with this subchapter does not excuse a licensee from compliance with the applicable ordinance or statute.
(D) Nothing contained in this subchapter shall be construed to prevent the governing body from imposing from time to time other license taxes as are not specifically herein defined or required, from increasing or decreasing the amount of any license tax herein provided or from prohibiting or regulating the business or acts licensed.
