No person shall post any bills, posters, signs or advertisements on any telegraph, telephone, electric light or other pole along any of the streets of the city; provided that, this section shall not be construed to include street signs, placed on the poles by the city for designating names of streets. Each sign, poster, bill or advertisement posted in violation of this section shall constitute a separate offense.
