§ 90.068 SIDEWALK DAMAGE AND REPLACEMENT.
   (A)   All sidewalk damage which occurs during the construction of a new building or additional work being done to an existing building or where property is being developed shall be corrected by replacing the damaged walk with new concrete, to the standards listed in § 90.067, at the property owner’s expense.
   (B)   In order to maintain the best appearance and safety of the sidewalks adjacent to city streets, city owned properties and rights-of-way, it shall be required that whenever a sidewalk cut is required for any reason, including but not limited to, the installation or removal of any utility or service line, the contractor, property owner, and/or city staff shall remove one full section, or not less than four feet, of sidewalk and replace it with poured concrete to the standards listed in § 90.067.
   (C)   The following safety measures are required to begin immediately following the removal of the sidewalk, during and following construction, until the final replacement sidewalk is in place.
      (1)   Sidewalk sections that have been removed must be marked with cones or tape which includes reflective material to prevent accidents during non-daylight hours, except during times when crews are actively working in that immediate area of the project (when cones or tape shall hinder the work of the crews).
      (2)   Sections where work has been completed shall be filled with gravel until such time as they are permanently repaired with concrete to the standards listed in § 90.067.
