A. A person who violates, omits, disobeys, neglects, or refuses to comply with any provisions of this ordinance or related rules and regulation with regard to cross connections adopted by the purveyor, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall, for each offense, be punished by a fine in a sum not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or imprisonment for a term not exceeding thirty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day on which any such violation shall continue shall be deemed a separate offense.
B. In addition to the penalty provided for subsection A of this section, any a person violating a provision of this ordinance shall become liable to the city for resulting expenses, loss, damage, repair, replacement, cleanup, and or remediation cost incurred by the city by reason of such violation.
