A. It is unlawful for any person to maliciously, wilfully or negligently break, damage, destroy, uncover, deface or tamper with any structure, appurtenance or equipment which is a part of the water supply system or for any person except authorized city employees to operate or attempt to draw water from or obstruct, cover or otherwise deny or restrict access to or the use of any fire hydrant, water meter, valve or other outlet or access point designed for the use of the city personnel unless written permission is obtained from the water superintendent.
B. Any person who violates any of the provisions of this section shall be fined not more than allowed by state statute or imprisoned not more than thirty (30) days, or both such fine and imprisonment. (Ord. 430 §§ 1, 2, 1989: Ord. 303 § 17, 1975)
