(A) An official traffic map shall be kept on file in the office of the Town Clerk showing any of the following, applicable within the town:
(1) Location of traffic-control devices;
(2) Areas where specific restrictions are applicable to parking, loading and standing;
(3) Speed limits;
(4) Location of through streets;
(5) Location of stop intersections;
(6) Location of yield-right-of-way intersections;
(7) Location of one-way streets;
(8) Location of truck traffic routes;
(9) Locations where specific regulations are applicable to vehicle turns; and
(10) Location of school zones, quiet zones and play streets.
(B) The map shall constitute the official codification of town ordinances regarding those areas of traffic regulation enumerated by this section.
(C) The official traffic map of the town shall be amended, from time to time, only by action of the Board of Commissioners duly taken and recorded in open meeting, upon recommendation by the Town Manager.
(D) Additionally, an evaluation of the areas of traffic regulation enumerated in this section, as they appear on the traffic map, shall be completed annually and recommendations made, as determined necessary by the Town Manager, to the Board of Commissioners for amendments to the official traffic map; approval by the Board of Commissioners of these amendments shall be duly adopted and recorded in open meeting. Certified copies of all amendments to the official traffic map shall be filed with all agencies or departments holding a copy of the map.
