§ 50.32 BULK TRASH COLLECTIONS.
   (A)   Purpose. The purpose of bulk trash collections is to provide a service to the town's improved property owners in assisting with the disposal of large bulky household items.
   (B)   Eligibility and availability. Bulk trash collection is provided town-wide to improved property owners, twice annually, once in the fall, not sooner than October 15 nor later than November 15, and once in the spring, not sooner than April 15 nor later than May 15, at specific times designated by the Public Services Department.
   (C)   Procedure for bulk trash collections. The following procedures shall be required for collection of all bulk trash. Bulk trash must be separated, sorted and bundled as follows:
      (1)   Tree limbs and branches;
      (2)   Bagged yard waste;
      (3)   White goods and metal items (such as refrigerators, stoves, washing machines and dryers, hot water heaters, bicycles - with tires removed, metal lawn furniture, grills and the like); cables, pipe, and the like, less than twelve feet in length;
      (4)   Large furniture items (such as sofas, beds, mattresses).
   (D)   Prohibited bulk trash collection items. The following items are examples of prohibited bulk trash collection items:
      (1)   Hazardous materials of any kind, such as antifreeze, containers of oil, paint or other petroleum-based products, batteries;
      (2)   Recyclable materials, including cardboard or paper of any kind and electronic items;
      (3)   Construction and demolition materials of any kind, such as carpeting, flooring, cabinets, toilets, tubs, sinks, paneling, insulation, drywall, lumber or loose wood of any kind, pallets, shingles, windows, bricks, concrete or asphalt or glass;
      (4)   Glass, televisions, mirrors, fluorescent light tubes;
      (5)   Cars, boats, trailers, motorcycles or any other vehicles, lawnmowers, weedeaters and propane heaters or any parts thereof;
      (6)   Tires;
      (7)   Tree stumps;
      (8)   Vegetation or debris as a result of clearing unimproved properties;
      (9)   Any item that is too large to be safely handled by town personnel; and
      (10)   Any bulk trash produced as a result of a contracted service.
