4-3-1: INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE (NONRESIDENTIAL):
   A.   Code Adopted: A certain document, a copy of which is on file in the office of the village clerk, being marked and designated as the international building code, 2021 edition, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., shall be, and is hereby adopted as, the building code of the village for the control of buildings and structures as herein provided, and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of the international building code, 2021 edition, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this section, with additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in subsection B of this section.
   B.   Amendments To Code: The following sections are hereby revised as follows:
   Section 101.1: Insert “village of Kildeer”.
   Section 101.4.3: Change “international plumbing code” to the “Illinois plumbing code”.
   Section 105.1: Add “See section 4-2-2 of the village code”.
   Section 113: Change the second line to read: “The architecture committee shall serve as the appeals board”.
   Section 114.4: Delete in its entirety and insert:
      “114.4 Violation Penalties: Any person convicted of a violation of any section or provision of this code shall be subject to penalty as provided in section 4-1-11 of the village code, and each day any such violation shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.”
   Section 115.3: Delete in its entirety and insert:
      “115.3 Unlawful Continuance: Any person who shall continue any work in or about the structure after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall, upon conviction be subject to a penalty as provided in section 4-1-11 of the village code, and each day and any such work shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.”
   Section 903.2.8: Except one and two family dwellings, no more than three stories in height.
   Section 903.16: Add a new section 903.16 as follows:
      “903.16 Existing Building: When an existing building is increased in size by more than 1,000 sq. feet, or 50%, the entire building shall comply with the requirements of section 903.0.”
   Section 907.14: Add a new section 907.14 as follows:
      “All automatic fire alarm systems required for occupancies in use groups A, B, E, F, H, I, M, S, R-1, R-2, and R-3, shall be supervised by directly connecting to the main dispatch center for the fire department with NFPA 72 and their respective listing by an approved agency.”
   Section 908.7: Add a new section 908.7 as follows:
      “908.7 Carbon Monoxide Detection: Provide carbon monoxide detectors in all groups R-2, R-3, R-4 and I-1. In new construction required detectors shall receive their primary power from the building wiring where such wiring is served from a commercial source, and shall be equipped with a battery backup. The detectors shall be installed in locations per the manufacturer’s installation instructions or within 15' of any bedroom door whichever is closer”.
   Chapter 11: Delete provisions and reference to the Illinois accessibility code.
   Chapter 13: Delete this chapter and the reference to the international energy conservation code 2012 with Illinois amendments.
   Sections 1507.2.8.2, 1507.8.4, 1507.9.4: Delete 24 inches (610mm) and substitute the following:
      “Thirty six inches (36") inside the exterior wall line of the building. The underlayment shall be used in all roof valleys and roof intersections.”
   Section 1612: Delete this section and reference village code sections 4-6 and 7-6 regarding Lake County watershed development ordinance.
   Section 1805.1: Add the following:
      “All references to wood or masonry footings and foundations shall be deleted. All footings and foundations shall be concrete.”
   Sections 1807.1.3, 1807.1.4: Delete in their entirety.
   Section 2301.4: Add the following to section 2301:
      Open Web Wood Trusses: The use of open web wood trusses is not allowed unless the open web wood trusses are dry walled on the bottom chord or the area below the trusses has sprinkler protection.
   Section 2303.1.4.1: Add the following to section 2303.1.4:
      “Minimum wood structural panel thickness for sheathing at walls and roofs shall be one-half inch (½").”
   Chapter 27: Delete and insert national electric code as amended (see section 3-1-7):
      “All AC wiring shall be installed in a conduit system within building and exposed exterior of building to 6" below grade. Below grade schedule 80 PVC rigid non-metallic conduit is approved.”
   Chapter 29: Delete and reference Illinois plumbing code as amended (see section 3-1-8).
   Chapter 32: Delete in its entirety.
   Chapter 35: Delete references to international plumbing code and add Illinois state plumbing code.
   Appendix: Delete A, B, C, E, F, G, and I.
      Delete H except for 105, 106 and 107 and reference sign provisions of village code section 5-20.
