§ 53.23 PORTABLE METER SPECIAL WATER USERS PERMIT.
   (A)   The Supervisor shall provide 1 or more portable water meters for any special temporary use where water is taken from a service line. A permit shall first be obtained and shall specify the place from which water is to be taken, the quantity to be taken, the purpose of which the water is to be used and if a charge is to be made for the water, it shall be paid. When a charge is made, a portable meter shall be attached to the tap from which the water is to be taken, the regular water rate shall be charged or the rate as may be fixed by the Board of Trustees, plus a connect fee except when otherwise fixed by the Board of Trustees. The meter shall be read when other meters are read, or sooner if the use of the water is discontinued.
   (B)   Customers of the portable hydrant meter will have to pay a $100 deposit, and a $50 non-refundable charge to use the meter. Customers will also have to sign an agreement that if the meter is damaged or lost, the customer is responsible for the full cost of a new replacement meter.
