It shall be unlawful for any person to carry concealed about his or her person, any firearm, sling shot, brass knuckles, knife with a blade exceeding 3 inches in length or any other sharp or dangerous weapon or any other weapon which, when used, is likely to produce death or great bodily harm. Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. This section shall not apply to police officers or other persons whose duty it is to execute process or warrants, make arrests or to persons licensed to carry the weapons under state law.
