The owner or operator of any vehicle found in violation may within 72 hours of the time when the notice of violation was attached to the vehicle, pay to the office of the town Finance Officer, as a penalty for and in full satisfaction of the violation, the sum of $25. If the person fails to pay the sum within the 72 hours, he or she may, within 2 weeks from the 72 hour period, pay to the office as a penalty for and in full satisfaction of the violation, the sum of $50. Upon failure of the person to pay either of the sums to the office within the time periods indicated, and upon conviction of a violation of this action, the person shall be fined not less than $75, or more than $100, which shall be collected by the Magistrate Court in Rapid City, Pennington County, South Dakota.
