Before entering upon the duties of his office, the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety shall execute a bond payable to the city in the penal sum of $3,000 with sureties to be approved by the judge of the county court, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties of his office. The said bond shall be filed in the office of the County Clerk.
