§ 110.02 PERSONS SUBJECT TO LICENSE.
   In addition to the licenses otherwise provided for by the provisions of this code, the following persons, before carrying on either directly or indirectly their business within the limits of the city, shall first procure licenses therefor: Auctioneers, hackmen, itinerant merchants and transient vendors of merchandise, peddlers, keepers of billiard and pool tables, or either, scavengers, keepers of bowling alleys, keepers of shooting galleries, keepers of gunpowder, nitroglycerine, pawnbrokers, (except as hereinafter provided). Licenses are also required for persons operating or conducting shows, circuses, menageries, museums, theaters, opera houses, skating rinks, merry-go-rounds, and all other kinds and places of public amusement; persons giving or conducting public concerts, lectures, theatricals, and other exhibitions, musical performances, entertainments and amusements, for which an admission fee is charged, in any building other than the City Hall or a duly licensed theater or opera house and not given solely for the benefit of some literary, scientific, religious or charitable organization of the city.
