Before entering upon the duties of his office, the Department Head for Parks and Cemeteries shall take the oath prescribed by law for all city officers, and shall execute and deliver a bond payable to the city in the penal sum of $1,000, surety and its cost to be approved and paid for by the city, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties of his office.
