(A) All awnings above any street or sidewalk in the city shall be set not less than eight feet above the grade of such street or sidewalk and shall be securely supported by iron brackets or iron framework firmly attached to the building so as to leave the sidewalk or street wholly unobstructed and so as to permit it being rolled up close to the wall of the building. No awning shall project over any sidewalk to exceed three-fourths of the width thereof nor shall any such awning be allowed to remain in such condition as to endanger or inconvenience persons passing under or near the same. Any awning in the city not constructed or set in accordance with the requirements of this section is hereby declared to be a nuisance.
(B) Any awning, sign, signboard, flag or other sign fixture in the city already erected or placed and not in accordance with the requirements of this chapter is hereby declared to be a nuisance.
