(A) Civil service positions. All applicants for civil service positions in the city shall submit a record of physical examination certified by a licensed physician.

(B) Temporary employees. Every temporary employee before reporting for duty must furnish the city, at his own expense, a report of his physical condition from a duly licensed physician. Such physical examination shall include a general examination together with x-rays of the chest and lumbo-sacral area and electrocardiogram.
