§ 70.02 GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT LIMIT.
   (A)   No motor vehicle over 74,000 pounds gross vehicle weight (GVW) shall travel any county road without a permit.
   (B)   (1)   All vehicles over 74,000 pounds GVW who wish to use the county roads shall apply for a permit to the County Public Works Department.
      (2)   The application shall be made following the procedure to be prescribed by the Public Works Department.
   (C)   (1)   If the requested permit is for construction-related activities, the applicant shall include a road bond equal to 10% of the total cost of construction.
      (2)   The bond shall be held in escrow until use of the road is completed. At that time, the bond shall be returned to the applicant unless the road has been damaged as determined by the County Road Supervisor. If damaged, the Supervisor shall deduct from the bond the amount required to repair the damage. Any remaining balance shall then be returned to the applicant.
      (3)   If the requested permit is for an activity other than construction, the County Road Supervisor shall determine the amount of the road bond. The procedure for refund of the bond shall be the same as provided in division (C)(2) above.
   (D)   The weight limits shall be administered and enforced by the County Public Works Department with necessary assistance of the County Police Department.
