Any tree removed or damaged to the extent that in the opinion of the City Arborist will need to be removed said person causing the removal or damage shall pay for the replacement cost of the tree. Any person who causes a tree to be removed in violation of this ordinance shall replace any such tree at the violator's sole cost and expense pursuant to the tree replacement requirements set forth in this ordinance. The cost of replacement shall be $100 for each inch of diameter as measured at the tree's DBH. If the precise DBH cannot be determined, the cost of replacement shall be determined by the City Arborist based on his/her estimate of the DBH of the removed or damaged tree. (Ord. 2007-94.
