§ 118.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   GROUND FLOOR. Any occupiable floor of a building that is located less than one story above, or less than one story below, grade, and for which the top of the floor is within 24 vertical inches of the average grade of the adjoining sidewalk.
   PREMISES. Any building or separately owned, leased, or occupied space of a building.
   STOREFRONT. Any façade of a ground floor premises having one or more storefront windows.
   STOREFRONT WINDOW. Any window of any ground floor premises that permits an unobstructed public view into the interior of that ground floor premises from any immediately adjacent street, sidewalk, or right-of-way.
   VACANT. The state of not being occupied by a regularly operating business, including the state of undergoing interior renovation.
   WINDOW SCREENING. A display made of film, vinyl, polymat, canvas, or brown heavy duty paper and that is placed in a window or window area of a vacant storefront.
