§ 33.070 CREATION; MEMBERSHIP; COMPENSATION.
   (A)   Creation; members; compensation. There is created a Building Review Commission for the village consisting of seven members. The members of the Building Review Commission shall be appointed by the Village President and Trustees, voting jointly, and shall serve for staggered terms of three years and until their successors have been appointed. The members of the Building Review Commission shall serve without compensation.
   (B)   Qualifications. Members of the Building Review Commission shall be appointed on the basis of expertise in architecture, architectural history, building construction and rehabilitation, engineering, local history and other criteria deemed relevant by the Village President and Trustees. Members of the Building Review Commission need not be residents of the village.
   (C)   Officers. The Village President shall designate one of the members of the Building Review Commission to serve as Chair. The Village Manager shall designate one or more employees of the village to serve as Secretary to the Building Review Commission.
   (D)   Vacancies. Vacancies on the Building Review Commission shall be filled for the unexpired term of the member whose place has become vacant, in the same manner as provided for the original appointment.
