Upon taking office and at any other times as the Board of Trustees may direct, the Fire Marshal shall make those appointments and prescribe those duties as may be necessary and proper for the organization and effective operation of the Fire Department. The Fire Marshal shall control and supervise, subject to the order and direction of the Village Board, all apparatus and equipment owned by the village for the prevention and control of fires.
