(A) Permit fee required. No tree permit shall be issued pursuant to this subchapter unless a tree permit fee is paid by the applicant. The tree permit fee shall be in the amount established in the annual fee ordinance.
(B) Exception to fee requirement. No tree permit fee shall be required if the tree permit application seeks to impact, damage or remove a tree that is:
(1) Dead, diseased, insect infected or otherwise unsafe and a hazard to persons, property or other trees;
(2) In dangerous proximity to any public utility line or related facility; or
(3) Necessary to comply with established good forestry practices.
(C) Tree ordinance authorization. No fee shall be assessed for the issuance of a tree ordinance authorization.
