§ 150.090 NOTICE TO ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNERS.
   (A)   All applicants filing an application for a permit involving a lot in a residential zone and authorizing the demolition of a dwelling or additions that will increase the gross floor area of buildings and structures on the property shall be required to provide notice of the demolition, addition or construction to adjacent property owners, including those properties located behind the property and those located across the street from the property that would be adjacent to the property but for the presence of a street. The notice shall be either by first class mail with purchase of a certificate of mailing or by personal delivery, not later than ten days after the filing of the permit application. The applicant shall also file with the village, within 14 days after the filing of the permit application, written certification, under oath or affirmation, that the notice has been properly given. If notice was mailed, the certification shall include the original receipts from the certificate of mailing. If notice was by personal delivery, the certification shall include a signature acknowledging receipt for each property so notified.
   (B)   The village shall not process, and shall return to the applicant, any application for which the notice was not given or for which the certification was not filed as provided herein.
