The code official may delay the issuance of a demolition permit for up to 60 days if two or more building permits for primary structures have been approved for properties, for which work is continuing, within 500 feet of the subject property on either side of the rights-of-way abutting the subject property, or if the code official determines that a delay is necessary to prevent undue congestion and noise in the neighborhood.
