It shall be unlawful to erect, construct, repair or alter, occupy or maintain, remove or demolish any building or structure in the village or to perform any work regulated by this chapter in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter or without complying with the provisions of this chapter. It shall be unlawful to vary from the terms of any building permit, including the plans and specifications relative thereto, in connection with any work; provided that a building permit may be amended upon proper application as provided herein.
