§ 30.50 VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES.
   (A)   Standing committees. The following committees are hereby established as standing committees of the village.
      (1)   The Committee of the Whole.
      (2)   The Finance Committee.
      (3)   The Public Safety/Community Affairs Committee.
      (4)   The Building, Planning and Zoning Committee.
      (5)   The Public Works Committee.
   (B)   Special committees. The Board of Trustees may, from time to time by resolution duly adopted, establish, modify or abolish additional committees of its members to address specific issues.
   (C)   Membership and Chair.
      (1)   The Committee of the Whole shall consist of the President and all Village Trustees. The President shall serve as Chair of the Committee of the Whole.
      (2)   For all committees established pursuant to this section other than the Committee of the Whole, there shall be three members, each of whom shall be appointed by the Village President, with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees. The Village President shall appoint, with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, one of the members of each committee other than the Committee of the Whole to serve as Chair of the Committee. The President shall be an ex officio member of each committee other than the Committee of the Whole.
      (3)   Unless otherwise specifically provided by law or ordinance, the members of all committees or commissions shall hold their offices from the date of their appointment and qualification for a period of one year and until their successors have been duly appointed and qualified.
   (D)   Meetings. Committee meetings shall be held at such times and places as may be necessary for the proper accomplishment of village business, as determined and scheduled by the Board of Trustees. Notice of committee meetings shall be given in the manner provided by law.
