§ 30.22 PRESIDENT PRO TEM AND TEMPORARY CHAIR.
A temporary absence or disability of the Village President incapacitating him or her from the performance of his or her duties does not create a vacancy in the office. In that case, the Trustees shall elect one of their number to act as Village President Pro Tem. The Village President Pro Tem, during the Village President’s absence or disability, shall perform the duties and possess all the rights and powers of the Village President. Where the Village President or Village President Pro Tem is only temporarily absent from a meeting, but ready and able to assume his or her duties upon his or her imminent return, the Trustees shall elect one of their number to act as a temporary Chair. He or she shall have only the powers of a presiding officer and the right to vote as a Trustee.
