It is unlawful for any person to conduct or operate within the village any theatrical performance, exhibition, carnival, game for hire or other public amusement, with the exception of motion pictures or other performances specifically licensed by the provisions of this chapter, or any other ordinance of the village, to which an admission fee is charged, and which is not conducted solely under the auspices of a religious, educational, social or charitable organization, without obtaining a license therefor.
