(A) No person shall be eligible to be an elected officer of the village unless he or she is a qualified elector of the village and has resided therein for at least one year preceding his or her election or appointment.
(B) No person shall be eligible to be an elected officer of the village who is in arrears in the payment of any tax or other indebtedness due to the village, or has been convicted in any court located in the United States of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury or other felony.
