§ 91.082 POUNDMASTER; REGISTER AND NOTICE OF OWNERS.
   Immediately upon receiving any animal at the pound, the poundmaster shall make a registry of the same and enter the breed, color and sex, whether licensed or not, and the name and address of the owner of the animal if known or the same can be ascertained; and the poundmaster shall forthwith give notice to the owner if known or if the owner’s identity can be ascertained, by registered mail, of the impounding of the animal. If the owner of the animal is unknown and cannot be ascertained, then the poundmaster shall give notice by advertising the same in the next ensuing issue of any newspaper in general circulation in the village or posting public notice thereof at the office of the Chief of Police.
