§ 91.065 PROCEDURE FOR WARRANT.
   Whenever a complaint shall be made under oath and filed with the Chief of Police setting forth that any animal has disturbed the quiet of any person or neighborhood, has emitted offensive odors or has bitten any person not trespassing upon the person or property of the owner of the animal, the Chief of Police shall issue a warrant against the owner or keeper of the animal and if upon return of the warrant shall be adjudged guilty of the complaint charged, the owner of the animal shall be ordered to have it killed or removed from within the village within 24 hours after the time of receiving a copy of the order. Any person who within 24 hours after having received a copy of the order shall refuse or neglect to remove or kill or cause the animal to be removed from within the village or killed, shall be fined subject to the general penalty provisions of this code for every 24-hour period thereafter until the animal is removed or killed; and it shall be the duty of any police officer to seize the animal for the purpose of its destruction whenever it shall be found at large within the village after 24 hours after the time a copy of the order shall have been served upon or received by the owner of the animal.
