§ 91.062 REPORT OF RABIES.
   Every veterinarian or other person discovering any animal suffering from rabies, shall immediately report that fact to the Chief of Police and shall give the name, if known, and the place of residence of the owner of the animal, the place where the animal can be found, and (in the case of a dog) the license number of the animal, if known. The animal shall be immediately taken up and placed in a licensed veterinary hospital if not already therein, where it shall be observed by a licensed veterinarian until the time of its death or recovery. In the event of its death, suitable pathological examination of the brain shall be carried out to determine whether or not the animal died of rabies.
