§ 91.061 DUTY OF OWNER OF ANIMAL WHICH HAS BITTEN PERSON OR ANIMAL.
   It is unlawful for the owner of any animal, having knowledge that an animal has bitten any person or animal, or so injured any person or animal as to cause an abrasion of the skin, to sell or give away the animal, or to allow the animal to be taken beyond the limits of the village, except for the purpose hereinafter provided. It shall be the duty of the owner to place the animal in a recognised veterinary hospital acceptable to the village, and under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian for a period of time as the village deems necessary in order to determine whether it has rabies.
