§ 91.051 CONFINEMENT OF SMALL DOMESTICATED ANIMALS.
   A small domesticated animal shall be kept primarily inside the residence of its owner. When not confined in the residence of its owner, a small domesticated animal not prohibited by this chapter may be kept on the premises of its owner outside the residence if kept in a cage or a fenced or enclosed area or other secure restraint on the premises, the cage or fence to be erected and maintained in accordance with applicable village building and zoning ordinances and kept securely latched or fastened so as to prevent the escape of the animal. Any enclosure or restraint shall confine the animal to the rear yard of the premises, and the area in which the animal is confined shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition, free of offensive odors.
