§ 72.07 PARKING PROHIBITED OR LIMITED IN DESIGNATED PLACES.
   (A)   In addition to other prohibitions and limitations on stopping, standing and parking, the Chief of Police is hereby authorized and directed to designate and establish, with the approval of the Board of Trustees, zones or areas in or upon streets within the village, prohibiting the parking of vehicles therein or thereon, limiting the parking to “Resident Parking Only” or “Handicapped Only,” and limiting and restricting the time within which vehicles may be parked therein or thereon, and the Chief of Police, from time to time, with the approval of the Board of Trustees, may add to, change or abandon the parking zones or areas. In selecting, changing or abandoning the zones or areas, the Chief of Police shall be guided and governed by location, amount of traffic, the demand for parking space, the congestion of traffic, the use of streets and all other traffic conditions which may exist.
   (B)   The Chief of Police is hereby authorized and directed to procure and cause to be erected adjacent to the zones or areas so designated, signs giving notice that the parking in or upon zones or areas is prohibited or limited as stated on signs, and no person owning, controlling, driving or operating any vehicle shall cause, leave or permit the vehicle to be parked or left standing at any time when or during which time the posted sign gives notice that the parking in or upon the zones or areas is prohibited or limited as stated on the signs.
