§ 57.02 INJURY; ATTACHING WIRES OR ROPES.
   It is unlawful for any person to injure any tree or shrub in any public street, parkway or other public place, and unlawful for any person to attach any wire or rope to any tree or shrub in any public street, parkway or other public place without the permission of the Village Manager. Any person given the right to maintain wires in the streets, alleys or other public places in the village shall, in the absence of provisions in the franchise concerning the subject, keep the wires and poles free from and away from any trees or shrubs in those places so far as may be possible, and shall keep all trees and shrubs properly trimmed, subject to the supervision of the Village Manager, so that no injury shall be done to either shrubs or trees by contact with poles or wires.
