§ 56.17 TREES AND VEGETATION.
   (A)   Tree trimming approval required. Tree trimming shall not be considered a normal maintenance operation, but shall require authorization by the Village Manger and shall be in accordance with the tree preservation regulations set forth in Chapter 150 of this code.
   (B) Protected trees and heritage trees. The village may require that special measures be taken to preserve protected trees and heritage trees, as defined in § 150.156 of this code. The required measures may consist of higher poles, side arm extensions, covered wire, or a tree preservation plan in accordance with the tree preservation regulations set forth in Chapter 150 of this code.
   (C)   Location of utility poles and wires. To the extent possible, any person given the right to maintain poles and wires in the streets, alleys or other public places in the village shall keep wires and poles away from trees and shrubs.
   (D)   Chemical use. Spraying of any type of brush-killing chemicals will not be permitted on rights-of-way.
