(A) The Village of Kenilworth extends over and includes all those portions of Sections 21, 22, 27 and 28 in Township 42 North, Range 13 East of the Third Principal Meridian, which lie within the following described boundaries and lands therein:
(1) Beginning at a point on the north line of Section 28, township and range aforesaid, 132.16 feet west of the northeast corner of the section, and running thence northeasterly along the centerline and the centerline extended of Winnetka Avenue, 982.0 feet to the water’s edge of Lake Michigan, thence southeasterly along the water’s edge of Lake Michigan, 3,000 feet more or less to the east line of the northwest quarter of Section 27, township and range aforesaid; thence south along the east line of the northwest quarter of Section 27, 1,320.0 feet to the southeast corner of the northwest quarter; thence west along the south line of the northwest quarter 2,671.5 feet to the southwest corner of the northwest quarter; thence south along the east line of the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 28 aforesaid, 492.3 feet; thence west parallel with the north line of the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter, 1,327.3 feet to the west line thereof; thence north along the west line of the northeast quarter of southeast quarter, 492.3 feet to the northwest corner thereof; thence east along the north line of the northeast quarter of southeast quarter, 246.0 feet to the northeasterly line of the right-of-way of the Chicago and North Western Railway Company; thence northwesterly along the northeasterly line of the right-of-way, 2,366.0 feet to a point 664.3 feet south of, as measured at right angles to the north line of the northeast quarter of Section 28 aforesaid; thence east parallel with the north line of die northeast quarter, 1,022.4 feet to the west line of the east half of the northeast quarter; thence north along the west line of the east half of northeast quarter, 664.3 feet to the northwest corner thereof; thence east along the north line of the east half of northeast quarter, 1,196.64 feet to the point of beginning;
(2) The north 492.3 feet of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter; also all that part of the northeast quarter lying and being southwesterly of the northeasterly line of the right-of-way of the Chicago and North Western Railway and south of a line which is 13.46 chains south of and parallel with the north line of the northeast quarter, all being in Section 28 of the township and range aforesaid;
(3) All of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter (except the north 492.3 feet thereof), of the Section 28; and
(4) Beginning at the southeast corner of the northeast quarter of the southwest quarter of the Section 28, and running thence west along the south line of the northeast quarter of the southwest quarter to the centerline of Ridge Road (also known as Ridge Avenue); thence northwesterly along the centerline of the Ridge Road to the north line of the south half of the north half of the northwest quarter of the Section 28; thence east along the north line of the south half of the north half of northwest quarter to the east line of the west half of the Section 28; thence south along the east line of the west half of the Section 28 to the point of beginning and including within the limits of the hereinabove described territory the following lots, blocks, tracts and parcels of land, to-wit:
(a) Lot 1 in the subdivision (known also as Lauermann’s Subdivision) of the south 100 acres of the southwest quarter of the Section 28;
(b) Those portions lying east of the centerline of Ridge Road of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in Barbara Wagner’s Subdivision of the south 50 acres of die north 60 acres of the southwest quarter of the Section 28;
(c) That part lying east of the centerline of Ridge Road of the north ten acres of the southwest quarter of the Section 28;
(d) That part lying east of the centerline of Ridge Road of that part of the south half of the northwest quarter of the Section 28 lying south of the north 15.0 chains thereof;
(e) Lots 1 to 17 inclusive in McLean’s Subdivision of that part of the south 4.83-l/3 chains of the north 15.0 chains of the south half of the northwest quarter of the Section 28 lying east of the centerline of Ridge Road;
(f) Lots 1 to 17 inclusive in Indian Hill Ridge, being a subdivision of that part east of Ridge Road of the south 4.83-1/3 chains of the north 10.16-2/3 chains of the south half of the northwest quarter of the Section 28; also Lots 1 to 23 inclusive in Manus’ Indian Hill Subdivision Number Four, being a subdivision of the north 5.33-1/3 chains (352 feet) of that part of the south half of the northwest quarter of the Section 28 lying east of the centerline of Church Road, also known as County or Ridge Road;
(g) Lots 1 to 26 inclusive in Manus’ Indian Hill Subdivision Number Three, being a subdivision of that part of the south half of the south half of the north half of the northwest quarter of Section 28 lying east of the centerline of Church Road, also known as County or Ridge Road; also that part lying east of the centerline of Ridge Road of the north half of the south half of the north half of the northwest quarter of Section 28; and
(h) Including all streets, roads, highways, ditches and railroad rights-of-way lying and being within all the aforesaid lands.
(B) Appended to this code and made a part of this section, is a true and correct outline map showing the corporate limits and boundaries, section lines and measurements on boundary lines, location of streets and location and extent of shore of Lake Michigan adjacent to the village.
