§ 55.014 OPENINGS IN STREETS AND THE LIKE.

It is unlawful for any person to construct or maintain any opening or stairway in any public sidewalk, street, alley or public way, without obtaining a permit from the Village Manager or Village Board. All lawfully maintained openings shall be guarded by a suitable strong cover or a railing to be approved by the Village Manager or Village Board.
