§ 55.004 DEPOSITS.
   It is unlawful for any person to deposit on any street, alley, sidewalk or public way, any glass, substance, article or materials of any kind which may do injury to any person, animal or property. Materials or articles other than building materials, may be deposited in streets preparatory to delivery or use, if the deposit does not reduce the usable width of the roadway at that point to less than 16 feet, but those materials, other than building materials to be used in actual building construction on adjoining premises, shall not be permitted to remain on the street for more than three hours. Any articles or materials remaining on any street after sunset shall be guarded by lights. Merchandise or other articles may be deposited on sidewalks preparatory to delivery if the usable width of the walk is not reduced thereby to less than four feet, but no articles shall remain on the walk for more than one-half hour.
