§ 52.057 RAIN LEADERS ALONG SIDEWALKS OR PASSAGEWAYS.
   Along sidewalks or passageways, rain leaders shall enter cast iron downspout pipe not less than five feet above grade. Along alleys, streets or trafficways not separated from the building by sidewalks, all rain leaders shall be placed in niches, in the walls protected by wheel guards or shall enter the building through the wall at a 45-degree slope at a point at least 12 feet above the ground level. The leader pipes from any gravel roof shall not discharge directly into any sewer or house drain but shall first enter a settling basin fitted with a trap placed at a depth of not less than four feet.
