All subhouse drains shall discharge into an air-tight sump or receiving tank so located as to receive the sewage by gravity, from which sump or receiving tank the sewage shall be lifted and discharged into the house sewer by pumps, ejectors or any equally efficient method. The sumps shall be either automatically discharged or be of sufficient capacity to receive the house sewage and wastes for not less than 24 hours.
