All roofs and paved areas, yards, courts and courtyards shall be drained into the stormwater sewerage system or the combined sewerage system, but not into sewers intended for sanitary sewage only. When existing drains used for this purpose are connected with the combined sewerage systems, they shall be effectually trapped, except roof leaders and conductors, where the roof or gutter opening is located not less than 12 feet from a door, window scuttle or air shaft. One trap may serve for all connections, but traps must be set below the frost line or on the inside of the building.
