§ 52.046 DEAD ENDS.
   In the installation of any sewerage or plumbing system, no dead ends will be permitted, except on repair work where an anti-siphon trap is to be used as hereinafter provided. In making alterations of any old plumbing or sewerage system, or upon removing any old fixture or fixtures connected at the end of a branch drain, soil or waste pipe, the branch shall be removed its entire length, or provision shall be made for a free circulation of air through same. When the pipe is cut off where it branches from the main, the opening shall be properly closed with a tile cover cemented in, or a cast iron plug caulked in or a threaded cap or plug properly made up.
