§ 50.18 LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE.
   The village shall not be liable for any damage caused by leak or break in any service pipe or private water main, or the damage caused by a failure to repair the same promptly, or for any damage caused or resulting from failure to furnish water to the premises while pipes or mains are undergoing repair. The Director of Public Works shall shut off the water to allow repairs to be made when notice is given by him or her that repairs are contemplated, and he or she may shut off the water without notice to the consumer when in his or her judgment emergency requires the making of repairs without the giving of notice.
